Photos from FormulaD Round 1Monday, April 14. 2008 Check out some great pictures from the FormulaD event at the Streets of Long Beach. What a weekend we had. So much fun and the event was sold out. I want to say thank you to all of you fans that came out for the support, and I can't wait to come back to LA for the last event in October at the House of Drift Irwindale. If you still want to see more of Drifting we will be out next weekend at the Long Beach GP doing the Team Drift event. That is always so much fun. Basically free styling around the whole track. I have to say that FormulaD did a great job over all with the Round one event. Comments

Hi Samuel,
being there both days (Fri. & Sat.) one thing definitely occurred to me - you were there to send a message. And that you did, qualifying #1. Were any of the other drivers surprised? I think not...you are the two time national champ in that Viper, after all. That's when their worst nightmare started. You were the one to beat, all weekend. Notice that the other driver's victory came with you in chase? It kind of reminded me of when you're chasing someone, and they can't get away from you, so they they just drop to the ground...and you trip over them? Nevertheless, Chris Forsberg is wily. Coming around turn 10 in front of the main stands, you were on him. And man, I mean on him! And he knew it. (Photo 4.) What to do? Samuel, you are a great champion. This year is going to be fun for you, because you are a man on a mission. Good luck everybody. It should be a great year again for sure. Chris did an awesome job out there and kept up good. He told me after the race that he could not out run me, so he got the car with more angle and slower speed in the last corner. It was a tactic I did not expect from him, but it is all good. Now we are moving on to next event.
