Fastest street legal car on a race trackMonday, September 8. 2008 Me and Stina got an invite to go out and test drive the Gumpart Apollo at the Firebird Raceway in Arizona. Mike Speck a very skilled Pro Driver and friend of mine were out there to demonstrate it for a very few VIP invites. We were using the Bondurant school track which is a pretty small track. There are only 2 of the model in the country and I got to be the second one overall to get a test drive on a road course. Very Cool!!! It is a very aggressive race car that definitely belongs on a fast road Corse, like Willow Springs. It has massive down force and you could feel that when you gained some speed.It just feelt better and better the faster you went. Unfortunately the car was not up to speed that morning. Perhaps because of the Hot weather in Arizona. The engine power was not that impressive for me. I hope to give it a new chance. Maybe on the Head2Head show in the near future.
