Exiting week.

 

Today I am heading up to take part of Tony Hawk’s fundraising event in Beverly Hills.
It is called Stand up for skate parks. We are auctioning of a ride along with me in the 2009 drift car at one of the FormulaD event’s next year.

And then tomorrow I am heading down to start doing my Pre run for the BAJA 1000 with BFgoodrich. I am so excited about that. It’s going to be crazy.

We will be down there from Monday till Wednesday night.

I will get out of there in a small air plane on Wednesday night to make it in time for the World Championship Red bull Drift event. We will be doing some extra filming from camera cars on Thursday so I need to be back in town for that.    

After the World Championship weekend I will be heading down again for the Baja 1000 to get ready for the race weekend.

So after a great experience at the Ante up for Autism TACA event on Friday I am getting ready for the BIG week. The event at the St Regis Hotel went well. We sold a ride a long in the Viper and a pit pass for a total sum of $2500.



We will be out doing some testing this week to get ready for the BIG day on Saturday for the Final of the 2008 season.
NuFormz got a few different rear ends that I am going to test out to make sure we have the right ration for the Irwindale track.
On Wednesday night I will head out for the Dromo ONE go cart event. On Thursday after practice we will be doing some Sumo wrestling amongst the drivers. Pretty funny. Friday regular testing and qualification for the none seeded drivers. Saturday the main event and then Sunday night Banquet for the FormulaD Champion.
Tonight I am heading over to experience the Magic Castle in Hollywood. That should be pretty cool. I am excited about that.



Oh. I forgot to say that on Saturday I went out to the Off-road expo in Pomona. I met up with BFG and talked about Baja 1000. I will let you know more about that when I know more. I say no more. HE HE!!!

Me and Stina got an invite to go out and test drive the Gumpart Apollo at the Firebird Raceway in Arizona. Mike Speck a very skilled Pro Driver and friend of mine were out there to demonstrate it for a very few VIP invites.

We were using the Bondurant school track which is a pretty small track. There are only 2 of the model in the country and I got to be the second one overall to get a test drive on a road course. Very Cool!!!

It is a very aggressive race car that definitely belongs on a fast road Corse, like Willow Springs. It has massive down force and you could feel that when you gained some speed.It just feelt better and better the faster you went.

Unfortunately the car was not up to speed that morning. Perhaps because of the Hot weather in Arizona. The engine power was not that impressive for me. I hope to give it a new chance. Maybe on the Head2Head show in the near future.

Stina did an awesome job out at the California Speedway raceway. Here are her words.

 So this past weekend I was racing in a Redline Time Attack at california Speedway in Fontana.

Time Attack is originally from Japan and it's about getting the fastest lap time in the group you're competing in.
The groups are depending on what car your driving. If it's a front wheel (FW) car, rear wheel (RW), or a all wheel (AW) car. And it's also divided into: Street legal, Modified and Unlimited.
I was competing in the Modified FW class with my Dodge Neon SRT4.

The track at California Speedway was a really challenging track. We were using part of the oval to the infield road course. Coming on the straight away on the oval I was flat out doing 140 mph (240km). Wow, wow, wow....Pretty intimidating at first but really awesome!!! No fear!!

Saturday was a good day with a lot of testing. Having 4 test sessions I felt that I was ready to rock in the competition on Sunday. Having a great lap of 2:00:6 on saturdays practice, I still felt that I had a couple of seconds to shape of.
My first test session on Sunday was not that good when I was having problems with my car. The turbo was not boosting on the higher gear, and that made the car lose a lot of power.
My team tried their best to fix the problem. They got the boost problem a little better, but not completely fixed.
I went out their in the competition and pulled a 1:56:6. That gave me he 2:nd place in my class and I got to be on the podium!! YEAH!!!

It was a great weekend and I got a lot of publicity. RiceboyTV.com was following me the whole weekend making a story about me. That should be out soon..
Also NBC was there filming me for TV show called "Whipnotic" and that will be airing on Saturday at 5pm.

Last week was really fun. After I went to Nevada for the CORR race with Chet Huffman in his private jet I did a commercial for the new VW Scirocco. Pretty cool car. But it will not get to the US to start. Then on Thursday me, Stina and a friend from Sweden Magnus went to Las Vegas Motor speedway. Lamborghini invited me to come out and check out the 09 Models. They must have had like more than 30 Loambos there for test driving. I also introduced the founder of a new project called The one million dollar race. I will get back regarding that later on. Later on that night we had dinner on the top of the Mandalay Bay hotel. Then on Saturday I was helping out in the Pit for Stina at Willow Springs Race track. She did awesome and it was lots of fun. Except that one guy crashed his Mini Cooper and got air born out from the track. Not sure if he made it. Very sad. This week I will have a few meetings and over the next weekend I will be working on a BMW commercial. Drift Ya Later

We went for a Road trip up the coast to northern California. We stayed last night in Pismo Beach at an awesome hotel at the beach. Dolphin Bay Hotel and residences. It was very mellow and quiet. Today we are heading up to the Sacramento area to visit Danen Smith. He is the wild Man that Crashed HARD in the show SET UP on Speed Channel. On Wednesday I believe we are going to swim with Dolphins and Killer Sharks at a water park in the Napa area. Jenny a friend of ours working there, so that is a great hook up. Thursday is racing time at the Infineon raceway. We are visiting the racing school there and who knows what will happen. I hope Stina can get in a car and get some seat time. Then on Friday we are heading down to Button willow raceway where Stina is going to be racing the whole weekend in her SRT-4. That is our week.  Drift Ya Later

I just got back home from Willow Springs Race track. I spent two days up there Test Driving 12 different cars on the Big track. It is a show called Head to Head on Tourquetv.com.

I am the host of the show and doing the driving and giving my feedback. We are continuing next week with 12 more cars. So far I have been driving. Viper SRT-10 2008,Corvette Z06,Audi RS4,CarreraS,Mercedes E55, BMW M5, Spiker C8, Cobra Superformence, Nissan 350Z Nismo, Mazda RX8, Honda Civic Hybrid against the Toyota Prius.

That was a funny test I have to say. With the Hybrid cars I pretty much had full gas all around the track. The show will be on, http://www.torque.tv in the near future.

Hübinettes are a Hit at Viper Days



Team Mopar two-time Formula Drift champ Samuel Hübinette may be more than a month away from the Formula Drift season-opener, scheduled for April 12 in Long Beach, Calif., but that doesn't mean the "Crazy Swede" is taking a vacation from the racetrack.

Me and Stina ended up going down to Florida with David and Jody Leach some friends of ours. We stayed in Sarasota where they got a condo and had a great time. Got to hang at the beach and also a visit to Epcot Center where Stina had not been before. The lines were crazy as always, so it was not that fun. David keeps one of his cars down there, Porsche 993 twin Turbo, so that was definitely fun to rip around with that one. He got it tuned up to 520hp so it definitely moves. We are now on a lay over in Denver to fly home to Newport Beach. Back home and re pack our bags and then early Friday morning we will head up to Buttonwillow raceway where Stina will be racing in the Viper racing league with her SRT-4. It looks like it might rain over the weekend so we will see how it turns out. I will keep you guys posted. Drift Ya Later.

The Puerto Rico event went great with over 1000 people coming out. Me and Casper Canul gave rides in the New Caliber SRT-4 and finished up with a tandem Drift demo with two 300C SRT-8.The fans and media people were amazing. There was so much energy down there. They also had a DJ playing music the whole time, so it was a really cool atmosphere. After that I went back to California and worked on a Jaguar commercial. That was really fun, because we were shooting it on an air base with brand new tarmac and lines. It was really clean before I ended up laying down quit a lot of rubber. There will only be 100 cars made of that version so the car was quite nice I must say. XKR-S was the version. Then on Saturday Stina went out to Willow springs Race track and were racing with her Superstreet Dodge Neon SRT-4. She ended up having the quickest lap time in her class with around 35 other cars. She was on fire. It was the BIG track and her lap time was 1.36 and that is awesome on that track. This week I am home working on some random stuff. Hope you all doing well. Drift Ya Later

I went down to Carlsbad today and test drew an M5 2006. The car only had 2300m so it was like new. The owner bought it for his wife but she decided to drive their SUV instead, so it has been sitting in the garage for almost two years. The price was a little bit steep, but it's like buying a brand new car. It still smelled new car inside. We will see what happens. Anyway. On Saturday night I'm going to take part of a 12h endurance go cart race at Dromo1 here in LA. It is a charity event so we are bringing in cash for the "MAKE A WICH FOUNDATION". It will be a long night but also lots of fun to run with guys like. NASCAR driver Boris Said, 2007 Formula Drift Champion and X-Games Rally Gold Medalist Tanner Foust, 2005 Rolex Series Champion Craig Stanton, 2007 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year and A1GP driver Phil Giebler, Champ Car Atlantic Driver Alan Sciuto, and Grand Am driver Nathan Swartzbaugh. We will all be in the same team so it can only get CRAZY!!! After that on Monday I will fly out to Puerto Rico to help Chrysler Launch the new DODGE CALIBER SRT-4. It’s going to be awesome. I'm going to meet the media down there and give them some hot laps in the cars. They requested me to do some drifting but that will most likely not happen. Only if they got something like an SRT-8 product with the fuse popped for the traction control. I will only stay till Thursday because on Friday I will be in a Car commercial for the new Jaguar XKK-R in central California. When I am done with that on Friday I will leave straight for Willow Springs Race track where Stina will be racing in her Dodge SRT-4 in the NASA series.
